Abstract

This study explores the application of Design of Experiments (DOE) for optimizing algae downstream processes, focusing on critical parameters influencing product yield and quality. By employing statistical tools such as factorial design and response surface methodology (RSM), the research identifies optimal conditions for processes such as harvesting, dewatering, and lipid extraction. The results demonstrate significant improvements in efficiency, resource utilization, and scalability, making DOE a robust approach for advancing algae-based biofuel and bioproduct industries.
