Peer Review Policy
The Journal of Intelligent Internet of Things Systems (JIITS) follows a rigorous and transparent peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and academic integrity of all published research.
1. Review Model
JIITS adopts a double-blind peer review system, where the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential. This approach ensures impartial evaluation and eliminates potential bias during the review process.
2. Initial Editorial Screening
All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial screening by the editorial team to assess:
- Relevance to the journal’s scope
- Originality and contribution to the field
- Adherence to submission guidelines
- Basic methodological soundness
Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be rejected without external review.
3. Reviewer Assignment
Eligible manuscripts are assigned to two or more independent expert reviewers with relevant subject expertise in IoT, AI, networking, or related domains. Reviewers are selected based on their academic background, research experience, and publication record.
4. Review Criteria
Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on the following parameters:
- Originality and novelty of the research
- Technical quality and methodological rigor
- Clarity of presentation and organization
- Relevance to intelligent IoT systems
- Significance and practical implications
- Ethical compliance and proper citation practices
5. Review Outcomes
Based on reviewers’ comments, the editorial decision may fall into one of the following categories:
- Accept as is
- Accept with minor revisions
- Revise and resubmit (major revisions)
- Reject
Authors are provided with constructive feedback to improve their manuscripts.
6. Revision Process
Authors are required to address all reviewer comments and submit a revised manuscript within the specified timeframe. A detailed response to reviewers must accompany the revised submission. Revised manuscripts may be re-evaluated by the original reviewers if necessary.
7. Final Decision
The final decision on acceptance or rejection is made by the Editor-in-Chief or the assigned handling editor, based on reviewer recommendations and the quality of revisions.
8. Confidentiality and Ethics
All manuscripts and review reports are treated as confidential documents. Reviewers are expected to:
- Maintain confidentiality of the manuscript content
- Avoid conflicts of interest
- Provide unbiased and constructive feedback
- Report any ethical concerns such as plagiarism or data manipulation
9. Review Timeline
JIITS strives to complete the peer review process within 2 to 4 weeks, although timelines may vary depending on reviewer availability and the nature of revisions.
10. Commitment to Quality
Through a structured and ethical peer review system, JIITS ensures that only high-quality, reliable, and impactful research is published, contributing to the advancement of intelligent IoT systems and technologies.
