Migrating legacy systems to modern Java environments is a critical undertaking for organizations seeking improved performance, maintainability, and scalability. This manuscript explores various migration strategies, including rehosting, replatforming, refactoring, and rearchitecting, to transition legacy applications to modern Java-based frameworks such as Spring Boot, Quarkus, and Jakarta EE. A thorough literature review identifies best practices and case studies, while the proposed methodology outlines a structured approach to migration. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of Java-based modernization in enhancing system performance, security, and maintainability. The study concludes by emphasizing the importance of proper planning, automated tools, and iterative migration to mitigate risks and ensure a smooth transition.
