Abstract

Scalability in cloud-based architectures is a critical aspect influencing performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. As businesses increasingly migrate to the cloud, they encounter challenges such as resource contention, latency issues, and inefficient scaling mechanisms. This paper explores the underlying causes of scalability issues, examines existing solutions, and proposes an optimized approach integrating auto-scaling, microservices, and distributed computing principles. The study employs a comparative analysis of traditional monolithic versus modern cloud-native architectures, supplemented by case studies demonstrating real-world implications. By addressing these challenges, enterprises can enhance operational efficiency and maintain seamless service delivery in dynamic cloud environments.
