Hyper-converged infrastructures (HCIs) have emerged as a transformative technology that consolidates compute, storage, and networking resources into a unified system. Innovations in storage solutions play a vital role in enabling the scalability, performance, and reliability expected of modern HCIs. This manuscript delves into recent advancements in storage technologies for hyper-converged infrastructures, covering software-defined storage, high-speed interconnects, and data redundancy mechanisms. It also discusses various factors influencing the adoption of these innovations, such as cost, complexity, and evolving workloads. Leveraging literature review, statistical analysis, and simulation research, this manuscript elucidates the benefits and challenges of integrating novel storage solutions into hyper-converged environments. Finally, the results and conclusions highlight the role of next-generation storage technologies in shaping the future landscape of data centers.
