Abstract

This study explores the application of fractionation and rotary evaporation techniques in the extraction and purification of starch from algal biomass. Algae, a sustainable and renewable resource, has garnered interest due to its high starch content and potential applications in biofuel production and the food industry. By combining physical fractionation with rotary evaporation, the study optimizes the isolation of highpurity starch from algal species. Experimental findings highlight the efficacy of these techniques, showing enhanced yield and purity compared to conventional methods. The research provides a foundation for scaling up algal starch extraction for industrial applications.
